Fruit Infused Water Bottle Reviews – Mami Wata
In an attempt to break my addiction to caffeine-free Diet Pepsi, we began looking for alternatives. And, soon became aware of products like Hint, a commercially available fruit infused water.
Hint is all the rage right now! There are many celebrities that are raving about how good it is. I can not speak to it’s taste, but I wanted to try something that didn’t include buying something with tons of packaging and plastic bottles.
So, we went looking.
Serendipitously, at the same time, we were approached by the good folks at Mami Wata, and given the opportunity to try their pitcher. We said yes, and here is our honest take on their product.
Mami Wata Fruit and Tea Water Infuser Set Up
The whole thing, as was expected is really a quite simple affair. In the box we found the jar, the pitcher top with sliding mechanism on top to open the pitcher, two infusers, one for fruit and the other for tea, and an ice-ball maker. Also included is a small menu book, as well.
We decided to try their Apple Cinnamon and Honey infusion as we had all the ingredients on hand.
So, what’s the process? Well, slice up an apple and stuff the slices into the fruit infuser tube, its the clear plastic one. Follow that with two cinnamon sticks. Squeeze in two tablespoons of honey.
Then attach the tube to the underside of the lid. Make sure that you have filled the jar of the pitcher with water. The instructions say to leave 10cm room at the top. I didn’t. A little trial and error and I found you could get more water in. Screw the lid on, and put the whole thing in the fridge.
They say to let it rest and infuse for two to twenty-four hours. We let ours do its thing for about five hours, plus or minus. I think it’s safe to say that, the longer you let the fruit infuse the stronger the flavor will be. That’s just what my logic tells me, mind, I haven’t tested it.
Mami Wata Fruit and Tea Water Infuser Taste
Let me preface my remarks here by saying, that, I understand that we all have different tastes with regard to food and drink. One man’s, or woman’s, pleasure is another’s poison.
Having said that, I think that most people will find the flavor to be refreshing and flavorful. Though not overpoweringly so. If you want something that is cloyingly sweet, this isn’t going to be for you. But, if you are looking for a healthy drink that has a light crisp taste, then this hits the mark.
Aside from a refreshingly tasty drink, infused water also benefits your health. Depending on the fruits and herbs used you will be benefiting your immune system, your mental acuity, organ and skin health. With all the water you’ll be drinking your bound to see other benefits too. An aid to weight-loss possibly.
At the conclusion of this first of our fruit infused water bottle reviews, we found that this pitcher is simple to use, easy to clean (it’s dishwasher safe, and affordable. It sure beats buying pre-packaged water products with all their additional packaging and costs. I certainly think that it is well worth giving a try. Your health and your pocketbook just might thank you.
