Stepping across the threshold, we were warmly greeted the attentive staff on duty. This was just the beginning of a wonderful four-day stay in Dinan.
You’ll notice from the very beginning, that the Hotel Arvor is well-appointed in an attractive blend of period decor and a modern up to date touches. Nothing stodgy, or old-fashioned here.
We stayed in a superior room that is quite a bit more spacious than the comfort rooms while offering a wonderful view of the town and the square across the street. Each of the rooms has been decorated in its own unique style, and are, of course, all ensuite.
The owners have out-fitted the rooms with furnishings “found at antique fairs and second-hand dealers around the region, giving them a charming authentic atmosphere”.
As of this writing a superior room will run you from €125 to €145 a night. Breakfast is not included and will cost you an extra €12 if you eat in the hotel.
One of the add-ons that is well worth the extra expense is the cost of parking in the hotel parking lot. It will run an extra €8. In our opinion a worthwhile expense even if the parking is very tight.
