Indigo Marble Camera Strap:
Why should you get one?
I love taking photos when we travel. And, I really like using my DSLR, along with my iPhone 6 Plus, to make my images. But, I really don’t like carrying it around.
There are essentially two options. Carry your camera in a camera bag, which is a little slow and cumbersome. Or, around your neck on a strap. Kind of a Catch 22 situation, I think you will agree.
If you are like me, and just about every other photographer I’ve ever met, you find the camera strap to be a super torture device. And, if you are like me you have spent more than your fair share of bucks, or whatever your currency is, on trying to find that perfect camera strap.
Well, I think I may have just purchased my last camera strap. I’m talking about the Indigo Marble Camera Strap! The @IndigoMarble Camera Strap may be the best camera strap you will ever buy. Click To Tweet
Indigo Marble Camera Strap? What kinda name is that?
I’m sure there must be an interesting tale about that, but I’m not privy to it. I can tell you that Indigo Marble is a small, innovative company that right now wants to do one thing right. To make the most comfortable camera strap available today.
And, I think they have accomplished what they set out to do.
Bu, how do you know if the Indigo Marble Camera Strap is for you? In my mind, there are three things.
First the super soft, stretchy, lightweight neoprene material that it is constructed of. And, the width of the strap. You will find that it is a bit wider than the standard strap.
Additionally, the strap is split, as you can see in the photo, this spreads the load out making for a much more comfortable experience.
The neoprene has the added benefit of being very “sticky”. By that, I mean it doesn’t slide around on your shoulder. Making it more comfortable still as you are not having to constantly adjust it to stay positioned.
Ease of Use
Second, the SC35 as it is officially known, and we do like to be official, has a number of things that make it very easy to use. Many shoulder slung camera straps are fixed to the the mounting points on either side of the camera body.
This becomes inconvenient for two reasons. The strap can obscure the view finder and the LCD screen. And, even more annoying, in my opinion, the strap slides on your shoulder, binding on your clothing and often times slipping off your shoulder.
The Indigo Marble Camera Strap attaches to the strap via a plate mounted to the tripod mount and then to a sliding loop on the strap. This loop glides along the strap making impromptu, quick draw shots simple.
Security & Safety
Camera security is always a concern when you are in an unknown crowded city. There’s no reason to make your camera more vulnerable than it needs to be.
Security can be measured in different, sometimes simple and obvious ways. Wearing a nondescript strap that doesn’t have the brand name emblazoned all over it is one way. The threaded caribiner makes a good strong attachment partner with the strong aluminum L plate attached to the bottom of the camera.
The L plate allows the camera to hang right at the hip. Here it is close at hand and safely tucked out of the way.
Your money is safe too. Indigo Marble offers a 100% money back return if not fully satisfied.
I have been fully satisfied with the Indigo Marble Camera Strap. Yes, I did say purchase. This was not offered for review by the company. I bought it, because it looked like a good product. I think you will think so too.
