Paris in 4 Days: Are We Nuts?
Paris in 4 Days? Impossible à faire, n’est pas! Impossible to do, isn’t it!
Well, buckaroos and buckaroo-ettes, this is not our first Paris rodeo, ya’ll! So, we know it can be done, matter what the elitists say. (Don’t worry. That is the last reference to the American west you will read here.)
Just have to realize that you are going to have to pick and choose. Which is a very good thing as you can then come back knowing you’ll see some things you really loved and some new things too.
If you came here expecting to read about La Tour Eiffel, and how to skip the interminable lines, sorry to disappoint. This, the third installment of the series about our England, Brittany, and Paris itineraries, is our plan for this year’s trip, and what will be doing in Paris in 4 days.
Paris in 4 Days – The Plan
How much you can in in Paris in 4 days is going to be determined a lot by how willing you are to stand in lines that serpentine for, what seems like, miles. Many people willing give up many hours of their day so that they can get to the top of the Eiffel Tour. That, does not sound like a good way to spend time, thank you very much.
So, what are the things we are going to see this time around?
Things to See and Do in Paris in 4 Days
In no particular order of importance, we are going to visit:
Pére LaChaise Cemetery is the final resting place of some of the most luminous people in history. Throngs of visitors have been know to leave keepsakes and remembrances at Jim Morrison‘s tomb, Or, that of Edith Piaff. And many others. It seems a bit weird to want to stroll through some cemetery, but whatcha gonna do?
I know, I know. Is there a more touristy thing to do in Paris, at night? Maybe not. We haven’t done it, but this year with some other touristy things, like taking one of the tour boats on the Seine, we are doing it. We are splurging, ’cause this ain’t cheap!
I’m afraid that I am going to have to confess something here before I go any further. And, you must promise not to hate me so early in our relationship.
We are going to visiting places outside of Paris too. Just little day trips, honest.
I don’t know about you, but I feel such a relief confessing that to you.
- Walk the city.
- Ramble its streets.
- Stumble its cobbles.
- But, most importantly, linger. Find a great café, bar, bistro, sit facing the street, and watch. There is so much to enjoy.
