The Best Vehicle BackUp Camera System
The Best Vehicle Backup Camera System provides that extra margin of safety!
Are you aware that as of 2018 there is a requirement to have a rear vision vehicle backup camera system as standard equipment on all cars and light vehicles? But, you have an older car? And, you want the latest and greatest technology too, right? After all, if we can get the newest safety equipment for our older cars, who wouldn’t want to?
Well, I have the solution…The Best Backup Camera System for your car provides that extra margin of safety! #TBIN Click To Tweet
for the full story.
The solution, in our minds, is the Pearl RearVision back up camera system. This has to be the easiest, most effective, back up camera system yet.
It really is simplicity itself! At least from the consumer side of things. I can’t imagine all the program and tech that has gone into this to make it work the way it does.
The ease of installation! It takes so little to set it all up.
Remove your old license plate holder. Put your plate in the Pearl provided one, and put it back on the car. Of course, there’s a bit more to it than that, but it is really that easy!
Then, download the app for your IOS or Android device. Install the adapter into the ODB port of your car. (This might be the most difficult part if you are not sure of where your cars is.)
Last , but, certainly not least, sync the phone to the camera through BlueTooth and WiFi and you are good to go. It really took no time at all to carry this out.
Though Jo is in love with this device, it is not without its cons.
- For some, the cost, at $499, is going to be an issue. But, and this is a pretty substantial but… I investigated having a backup camera system installed, and it’s no small job to have the wires run through the car. The cost may substantially exceed the cost of the Pearl. And, even if you are handy and install it yourself, you need to calculate what your time is worth. In my estimation, my time added up to way more than the cost of the Pearl RearVison Vehicle Backup Camera.
- The second con we experienced was that the adhesive on the back of the magnetic metal plate became ineffective after a time mounted in front of the heater vent. It seemed that the heat melted the adhesive and it came loose. Maybe, we didn’t wait long enough for the adhesive to cure, or something.
This not a real problem for Jo as she prefers to have the phone mounted on the stalk she has plugged into the cigarette lighter on her console anyway.
We have had the device for about a week, and it really has made backing Jo’s car up so much easier. If you, like Jo, own a car where rear vision is problematic, read that as really bad, then this vehicle backup camera system is a real benefit.
