Tours Around York
York’s Chocolate Story
Much of York’s history revolves around chocolate. We found this tour to be fun, informative, and entertaining.
Tour the brewery taking in the 20-barrel brew plant that sits on the site that was established in the late 16th century. You’ll experience a fascinating tour of the whole brewing process. One caveat: It helps if you really like good beer.
Clifford’s Tower was special significance to my wife as she can trace part of her lineage directly back. But, this imposing tower is a great visit for anyone visiting York.
There are several others available, too. But, of course, you needn’t take a tour.
You can enjoy York on your own by visiting all of the historic buildings, museums, and galleries the city has to offer.

Jorvik Viking Center
The Viking Center is an astounding place that really gives you an opportunity to experience what the Viking age was really like. Explore a Viking age settlement for the sights, sounds, and smells of the time.
The Roman Bath
Five meters below the pub above is a 2000 year old Roman Bath House. The small, this is a very cool place to experience.
This is just a brief sampling of what the York Pass offers the visitor to York. We found the York Pass to be a great value and recommend it highly to any visitor making an extended visit to York.
