Hi, we’re Arnie and Jo, and we have an obsession with visiting Europe. An obsession that, unfortunately, we can only indulge on a part time basis as we, probably like you, are still working full time in non-travel related jobs that keep us hopping. (Update: Strike that last comment as of June 2015! We are no longer counted among the ranks of the employed! 🙂
And, like you, I would guess, we have a mortgage, a car to make payments on, and a dog, and all the other sundry day to day things that the average person has. We makes us a bit different is that we put a priority on travel and not on accumulating a bunch of things. You’ll find no motorcycles, boats, jetskis or anything in our garage!
So, because we have a limited amount of time, we sometimes try to pack too much in and see too much. The Energizer Bunny has nothing on us as we are up at the crack of dawn and out the door to see what there is to see. As much as we like to do our own thing, we realize that there are times when finding a good local guide and taking a guided tour is well worth the extra added expense. A perfect example is when we went to Copenhagen and wanted to learn more after seeing Copenhagen’s top attractions and activities, so we went on a walking tour with Richard Karpen.
We started Arnie and Jo: Are on the Go as way to share with our friends and family the things that we have seen and experienced along the way. And, it’s still mostly that, but we also share our thoughts on travel products and accommodations too, to help out those that are looking for tips in those areas.
We hope that our meanderings, in the real world, and the digital one, might just inspire you to take off too.
Here’s to your travels!
